Rope and Wire to Close Down

For more than fifteen years the Rope and Wire website has been promoting authors and their work.

I've had the privilege of conversing with many great authors and to read some wonderful stories throughout the years. (I've read more than my share of not so good stories as well.)

As with any good story, no matter its length. The final sentence will eventually be read and the book will then be closed.

The Rope and Wire website has never turned a profit. The ads posted on the site on average bring in a few cents a day... literally. Over the years I've spent thousands of dollars of my own money and more hours than I care to count working to keep the site up and running. It has been a labor of love and never a way to make a living.

I'm in my mid-sixties now. Retired and looking forward to living my life less tethered to my computer. I'm eager to experience more of the world outside of my office and beyond the edge of town.

That being said, I'm hereby giving you all notice. I'm turning the lamp down low on the Rope and Wire website. No more new stories will be posted. Some time in December or January I will be shuttering the doors for good.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Rope and Wire over the years. It's been my deep pleasure to have met you and posted your work for others to enjoy. I only hope you've been able to glean something from this site in return for your kindness.

Feel free to drop me an email if you have any comments or questions.

It's been a long trail but as Dale Evens once noted, “It's the way you ride the trail that counts”.

I hope I've ridden it well.

Stay warm
